This is a basic learn to swim class where your child works on skills like side breathing and refining or building on elementary strokes to Join Swim League by the end of the session, your child MUST be able to wet their face, retrieve toys from the bottom, and jump in the pool to join this class.

Beginner Swim Skills & Stroke Development

I find showing the kids what the game 10y classes looks like will give younger swimmers motivation for more. We will only do this in April & May

I’m happy to answer any questions during class and help guide you through steps to practice at home and at other pools.
In the course you will teach your child
-safe entry & exit
-swimming
-floating
-navigating the pool
I breakdown each step of the curriculum and leave you to work with your child as I observe and assist from deck.
Many of these positions and holds are new to your child and can be uncomfortable at first, and your child may cry when you challenge them to move to the next step but it will improve with consistency and practice. The benefit of mommy and me is getting the chance to teach, comfort, and encourage your child to swim independently and play safely in the pool on your own. Making this an experience you can share with each for summers to come.
Day 1 is easy! We are getting acclimated to the water, doing simple water droplets on faces, and learning about entering, exiting the pool and getting a feel for what your goals and history is in the pool. Looking forward to working with you all’!
